Korčula - Lumbarda

Lumbarda is located on the eastern coast of the island of Korcula, and it is only 6 kilometers from the city away. It has a long history, and as early as in the third century BC the Greeks founded here their colony. About this speaks Lumbardska Psefizma, which is now kept at the Croatian Academy of Sciences and Arts. In Lumbarda were from the distant past built villas of famous noblemen, called the castles that are up to the present time very well preserved. The town is full of monuments and many galleries.
