Hvar - Zastražišće

As a part of Jelsa on the island of Hvar is located a small mountain village Zastrazisce. It is 8 kilometers west of Gdinj, 5 kilometers from Selca, four kilometers east of Poljica and 5 kilometers away from Bogomolja, located at an altitude of 192 meters . Zastrazisce name derives from the watchtower which is located on the hill Vela Glova with that beautiful view of the Makarska Riviera, island of Korcula and Peljesac . Zastrazisce village consists of several small villages: Mola Bonda, Podstrana, Donje Polje i Grudac which share a school , cemetery and parish church of Sv. Nikola from the 19th century .
