District Sucuraj is located on the southern coast of the eastern cape of the island, and is connected to the mainland by ferry or by road . It consists of several settlements , including: Sucuraj , Selca at Bogomolja and Bogomolja. In Sucuraj people are mostly engaged in tourism and we must mention the most famous bays: Česminice, Biline, Lučice, Mlaske, Valice, Frapatne, Perne, Blace, Židigove, Žukove, Rasovace i Mrtnovika. Some of these include swimming coves that are perfect for children, and elderly can enjoy the unspoiled nature . It is interesting that in the Sucuraj you can swim wherever you want , precisely wherever you see the sea as over 20 kilometers of coastline is at your service . The town has many restaurants , bars , post office, ice cream shop and an ATM so you will not have to travel to Hvar to buy basic groceries and stuf that you need. Tourism is a specially developed , and it should be noted that the tourist office is renting bikes , scooters and boats , and al...so possible is a boat trip on the peninsula of Peljesac and Korcula. Bogomolje is located west of Sucuraj, only 20 kilometers away. Place includes several hamlets, and best known is Selce near Bogomolja although because of the distance from the city is Selce considered an independent region. Beautiful coves are adoring Bogomolje, and we will list only a few. These are: Stara, Bristova, Solotiša, Mala Pogorila, Male Gaćice, Smokvina, Duboka, Kozja i Smrska. In these bays accommodation can be found in hotels, apartments, while some of them can be reached by car. Well known are Bogomoljske summer evenings. It should be noted that in Sucuraj grow tangerines, oranges and lemons, and the inhabitants of this place are engaged in beekeeping and honey production.
