Hvar - Milna

Milna is a village on the southern coast of the island, and from the very center of the city it is only 4 kilometers away. The place is known for its hard-working people which almost all share the surname Tudor. This is the youngest town of Hvar which was created in the fifties . Sv. Teodor is the patron of the city , and feast is celebrated on November 9. It became an independent settlement in 1991. According to data from 2001. in Milna lived only 90 inhabitants . One of the attractions is the village Malo Grablje that resembles a pirate 's nest , also well known is old mansion of aristocratic family Ivanić dating from the 17th century ( this mansion is now managed by the family Božić-Fio). The beaches are of gravel and only one beach is to part of sand . Two well know bays are Malo and Veliko Borče , that delight tourists with its beauty .
