In the western part of the island of Ciovo, southwest of Trogir is situated Okrug Donji . This small town is famous for its fish festivals which are often organized during the summer months . The famous cultural heritage is the chapel of Svetog Ivana Krstitelja , which dates back to ancient 17th century , but no one knows the exact year of construction of the chapel , a small altar and a statue of Ivan Krstitelj adorn this monument . The name of this district comes from the Croatian word "circle" since the Okrug Donji together with Okrug Gornji is situated on the western side of island Ciovo along a circular bay . The preserved ruins of the summer residence of the famous Nikola Andrejs who taught philosophy and medicine at Padua . Nikola Andrejs carved inscription which says that only at the island of Ciovo he found his peace and tranquility . Notable are the remains of churches , many outbuildings and the fact that and the King Bela IV visited the Benedictine monastery .
