Brač - Bol

Community Bol is located on the south side of the island Brač in the Split - Dalmatia district. It is one of the most famous Croatian tourist destinations. It was named after the Latin word " Vallum", which means the "entrenchment". World famous beach Zlatni rat is a symbol of the Bol. According to the last census in the municipality had 1661 inhabitants in two villages. With its 394.6 square kilometers, is Brač the most spacious of the islands in Dalmatia. It consists of twenty places including the famous Bol. It is also known as the oldest city on the coast. Above of Bol is located mountain Bolska Kruna. There is located llyric fortress and Vidova Gora. Island of Brac is inhabited since prehistoric times, and the main agricultural activity was animal husbandry.
