Insula Bagni is a former name for today's Banj. Banj is a small place near the Pasman channel. Views of this picturesque channel can be enjoyed from several nearby vantage points at the surrounding hills. Banj wrote his colorful history, many  years ago. Its roots are in the ancient world. Banj began to rise over the years arround the local Church svetog Kuzme. Today, it is a very interesting and beautiful tourist city which is visited by many tourists . Banj lives today for tourism. Here you will find a large  number of holiday homes, apartments , bars, restaurants, and other associated facilities. The current name is derived from the Roman word Bagnio which means  Spa or bath. This is not surprise because there is a source of drinking water which as some would say also has the healing power. The inhabitants of this place always say proudly: "If some...one drinks this water, he will come again and again." Whether that is true , it remains to find out!
