Žaborić

The settlement was founded in 1857. after the separation of the population from the island of Krapanj under the assumption that they will be closer to their fields in Žaborić or their vineyards in Donje Polje. It is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the Šibenik-Knin district. Žaborić is recognizable by its well-kept natural sand and gravel beaches and the crystal clear sea which attracts each year an increasing number of foreign tourists. The bay Mrzla Vala stands out particularly with its beauty, as one of the jewels of the nature of the district. Žaborić has 479 inhabitants. It is a coastal town on the main road 10 km south of Sibenik away. Along the beautiful shore of Žaborić a long promenade was built which offers to the visitors the opportunity to enjoy the sunsets and long walks.
