Vinjerac is a place on the peninsula in the south eastern part of the Velebit Channel . It is only 35 km to the north east from Zadar away. It is also part of the north-eastern coastal regions from ravnokotarski coastal region. Vinjerac is one of the most beautiful small Dalmatian places with centuries of history. It is traditionaly known as a place of origin of many seafarers and masters. This area is one of the most interesting places in the Central Adriatic Sea. The location attracts guests who would like to spend their holiday in an oasis of peace and tranquility, far away from the noise and pollution. The tourists are already at the arrival enchanted by the image of a small and quiet place with crystal clear sea, surrounded by Velebit mountain. Very limited agricultural activity from Vinjerac is due to drought agricultural areas. Here prosper olives, wheat, figs or grapes. The animal husbandry has been developed in Ždrila and Vučjak. Thanks to the animal husbandry and breeding ...of sheep and goats, the local process wool, leather, meat and milk. The life here is very difficult. In addition to agriculture and the economy, this region is mainly bound for Maritime Affairs and Fisheries. Manufacture of homemade cheeses, ham and other delicacies in a greater quantity is unfortunately not possible  because currently the water supply is not the best. Vinjerac port has an outstanding local significance, because it is the only safe gap between Pag Bay and the port of Novigrad. The area of the municipality and of the statistical area of Vinjerac includes approximately 15 square kilometers where in 1991. only 273 inhabitants lived. Cadastral municipality Vinjerac includes 7.55 square kilometers which makes only one-half of the statistical area, and the second part of the area is part of the municipality of Posedarje. Since 1993. the municipality Vinjerac belongs to Posedarje. The resort also includes a few isolated groups of houses.
