The city Primošten is situated on a small island which is connected to the mainland by a dam. It is located 20 km south of Šibenik . This beautiful city with its interesting architecture and crystal clear sea attracts many tourists for more than 60 years. District Primosten is founded in 1993. Its development has already started in 1960 when the pupils from Zagreb and Esperantists discovered Primosten for itself. An Esperanto - Camp was built and in the summer the Esperantists came from all over the world to Primošten. On the initiative of Mr Marko Skorin build of Primošten began. They provided electricity and water supply , afterwards telephone and finally the Adria highway (1964). The hotels could also be built now : " Raduč " in 1966." " Zora " and " SLAVA" 1968. ,Marina Lučica" in 1971 . , a Marina Kremik in 1983. and earlier was built Camp "Adria" ( Punta Maslina ) for 3000 campers. Primošten has been one of the most beautiful places on the Adriatic coast. Dev...elopment of tourism was interrupted by the war. The city is known for its large and beautiful vineyards. The largest beach in Primosten is Raduč, and there is also small Raduč whhich has been selected as one of the 10 most beautiful beaches in Croatia.  Tourism is in Primosten strongest economic activity. Primosten further improves its position as a tourist destination.   Primošten signed with Italian communes Piglio and Apiro and the Italian town Loreto th agreement on friendship. The budget of the municipality in 2011 was 23 million Kn, and for the 2012. it was 27 million KN. About 80 per cent of the budget is used for capital projects and scheduling procedure .New projects are: the project of the construction of a clinic in Primosten, project path Podgreben, the renewal of the streets of Franjo Tudjman and parts of the square of Don Ivo Saric.  Marina Kremik is the picturesque bay surrounded by old vineyards .From the Primosten is Marina Kremik only two kilometers away. It is regarded as the most beautiful and safest natural harbor at the Adriatic Sea. In the vicinity of the city there are two national parks, Krka and Kornati National Park, and the airport is only 30 kilometers away. The marina has 400 berths in the sea and 150 on land, each of which has access to electricity and water. There is a possibility to rent a large number of Luxus-boats. Near the tourist pearl of Primosten, on the peninsula Punta Maslina is located Campinga Adria. Šibenik is 25 kilometers away. For lovers of nature and of the journey there are two national parks "Krka and Kornati National Park". Due to its attractive location and varied nature it offers all what the campers need to have a comfortable and memorable stay. Campground near Adriatic Sea has a 3 star rating and is a perfect fit for the landscape of pine trees and a number of small natural coves around the crystal-clear sea . 80% of its area is located in a pine forest, the rest is decorated with holm oaks and olive trees.
