The area of the Posedarje is located on the northeastern edge of the region of Ravni Kotari . It is by Velebit Channel, Maslenička Gorge and Novigrads sea disconnected from the Velebit Mountain and Velebit Mountain Karst. In this region we find the fertile fields, sea and the mountains.  Here there is a mix of submediterranean climate of Ravni Kotari with the mediterranean climate of narrow coast of Posedarje with the influence ofVelebit Mountain (strong Bora). This area has several mountain passes of national importance, the streets which connect the south of Croatia with west and north of Croatia.. Posedarje has 1,358 inhabitants, and all the congregation that includes four villages still has a total of 3607 inhabitants. Croats are almost the only population of the municipality (99 % ). Municipality covers an area of 77.21 square kilometers, which is 2.1 % of the area of the district. Slivnica has the largest surface area (26.46 square kilometers) and Posedarje is the most dens...ely populated place with 1358 inhabitants. The whole municipality has 3607 inhabitants. Posedarje was first mentioned at the beginning of the 13. Century . It was mentioned in the documents of the Hungarian/Croatian king Andrija under its Latin name "Possedaria" in the 1219. year. Posedarje have repeatedly attacked Turks and ottomans in 1571, 1646, 1662 and 1665. year. In the Turkish attacks many people have been killed, captured or have fled from their homes . The inhabitants of Posedarje are working especially in viticulture, animal husbandry and fisheries. Tourism in Posedarje has everything you need to enjoy your holiday in Croatia : shops, restaurants, cafes, fish market, bakery. During your stay, you can visit the city of Zadar and other places in the surrounding area: Nin, Bibinje, Split, the islands Ugljan and Pašman. In Posedarje accommodation is offered in private homes, rooms and apartments. Most of the beaches are in the vicinity of the Posedarje are from gravel.  Posedarje has two main beaches. One is sandy beach, suitable for families with children and for a wide variety of sports and recreational activities such as volleyball, football and handball.
