Mrljane

Mrljane - one of the villages on the island Pasman, in the Zadar archipelago is located in the north-east of the island. Ferry to Biograd  drives regularly. In ancient times it was located at the foot of the hill Semic. Today, it is placed on the coast and has a beautiful sandy beach. Here live hardworking seafarers, shipowners and merchants which are  in the possession of  about fifteen boats. The place inherited its name from the Roman Gutherr Marinius and it was mentioned for the first time in the year 1343. In 1931 . the town had 286 inhabitants, in the year 1904. here lived about 183 inhabitants in 27 houses and today Mrljane has 42 households. Most of the young families have three or more children. The inhabitants have always been active in the agriculture and shipping and, more recently in tourism. From a nearby hill magnificent view stretches on the canal of Pasman.
