Jezera, small and picturesque place is located on the south side of the island of Murter. It is placed in a bay which gards it from strong winds and high waves. The first historical information of the place are dating at the beginning of the 12. Century. From that time until today had Jezera a turbulent history . Several conquerors found their home here. As witnesses of the history are numerous buildings and remnants wich are telling us of the ancient times. Jezera is a place rich in natural beauty. It offers a lot of organized tours throughout the year. The visitors can enjoy the nearby Krka Waterfalls and Kornati islands. Only with a full stomach you can discover the beauty of the place! In the vicinity of Jezera there are two lakes , Lokva and Blato . These two lakes are scattered over the fields and dry during the summer months . After these two lakes dry out on their remnants starts to to flourish dense vegetation .  Here you can see large olive groves. In order to be able to live on the dry land Dalmatins the fishing was the only solution. Jezera has a small harbor where the local and tourist boats are landing. Tourist offer here is really spectacular and accommodation can be found in many private homes. This place has a soul - Jezera!
