Višnjan - rich selection of local dishes Višnjan or Visignano is a place which consists of forty-six smaller villages. The rich heritage can be seen at each step of the western part of Istria. The residents call this area around Poreč,Poreština. Excellent traffic connections makes it easier to get in the city. It is just twelve kilometers from Porec and three kilometers from the main road Pula – Trieste away. Višnjan is also known as „Red Istria“ because the earth in this area is red colored. The average temperature is 14 degrees Celsius on an annual base. The warmest month is July, the coldest is January.
