Tinjan - phenomenal Prosciutto and nice people Tinjan district has a little less than 1800 residents which live and work in 8 little villages. Together, they constitute the municipality Tinjan which is known for its phenomenal ham. The above-mentioned towns are: Brčići, Brečevići, Jakovici, Kringa, Muntrilj, Radetići, Tinjan i Žužići. Because of many farms for Prosciutto production the area is known as " Istrian prosciutto municipality". Perfect climate and clean air are a necessary for the production of a Prosciuttos. Here you can attend international ham fair every year. Apart from ham, municipality Tinjan is  known for the legend of Jure Grand. The municipality has a rich cultural heritage  which is mostly maintained by the Cultural Association "Kumpanija Kosirići". The best Karate Club of Istria "Tinjan" is located here, and in honor of the Day of the commune World Cup is each year organised.
