Sveti Petar u šumi - the smallest municipality in Istria The smallest municipality in Istria has a very interesting name ( St. Peter in the woods). District of Sveti Petar u šumi is located in the heart of Istria alongside Patina and only six kilometers from Rovinj away. The municipality has more than a thousand inhabitants according to the census of 2001. District of Sveti Petar u šumi is located on the site of an old Benedictine monastery where a cultural center was located. In the village there are a kindergarten and primary school. The image of Lady Čestohovska which weeps off tears of blood is well kept in the Church Sveti Petar and Pavle. The company Puris and few of other companies assure job and life and opportunities here.
