City of white stone Raša Raša is the youngest town in Istria. It is named after same-named river. Raša has been built from stone and coal. Thanks to such a special type of construction city has a distinctive look. The history of this small, picturesque town begins in the twentieth century. The story begins with the mining of coal which took place in the valley of the brook Krpan. As mine worked better from day to day small houses began to sprout. The miners lived in these houses, found their home here. City began slowly to develop over the years. Each stone house has been built in a series of two parallel roads.
