Pregrada

Pregrada belongs to Krapina Zagorje County and consists of 26 villages. It is located between the river Sutla and the hillside of Maceljska gora. The name of this city was mentioned for the first time in the statutes of the Zagreb Cathedral Chapter in the 1334th, and there are several legends about the origin of this name. According to the census in 2001., this city had a population of 7165 inhabitants, while nowadays the population increased. The villagers are mostly engaged in service industries, manufacturing, and tourism. It should be noted that Pregrada contains the first wine route in Croatia and has recently opened the business area that will cover all the major companies.
