Lipik

Lipik is a city that stands out because of the farm of Lipizzaner horses and and it is located in Požeško Slavonska county. It is situated in the valley of the River Pakra and according to census in 2001., the city had 2,300 inhabitants. The city exists for 200 years, but its roots stem from Roman times. In the Middle Ages Lipik belonged to property called Bijela Stijena, and Ivan Kapistran wrotte back in the 1517th year of the beautiful Lipički spa. One of the famous rulers of this city was the Baron Franjo Trenk who in 1743rd bought Lipik. Flourishing of Lipizzaner spa begins in the 19th century when the new owner Jankovic built pool, which consisted of three baths.
