Kutina with its 294.34 square kilometers is located in Sisak Moslavina County and consists of 23 villages. It is located 70 kilometers from Zagreb and according to the 2001 census it has 24,597 inhabitants. City Day commemorates on the 10th of November, when the feast day of Sv. Marija Snježna takes place. In Kutina is situated the most lavish baroque facility of Kroatia, the church Sv. Marije Snježne. In the curia of family Erdody from the 18th century is situated a museum. In the early 20th century there was a terrible fire that ravaged Kutina. Kutina has elementary school (5 of them) and two secondary schools. Over the years the Kutina specially developed and it became an important commercial, business and administrative center, and received the name of the town because of the beautiful green landscaped parks and numerous trees and shrubs.The house of familiy Pazdera which with its beauty attracts many foreign tourists, especially the Hungarians should be mentioned. Very important is the transport route linking Kutina with other parts of the Croatia, and highway Zagreb-Lipovac connects Daruvar, Garešnica, Bjelovar and Virovitica. At the eastern entrance to the city on King Tomislav Square is located brick bridge which in the 2002nd was rebuilt, and it should be noted that particularly attractive to tourists is Bela Crkva, which is the most important rest of the Pauline monastery on Mount Moslavina. Nearby is located Nature Park, and because of its geological attraction Kutina is attractive for many geographers and historians.
