Daruvar

Daruvar is a city located in Bjelovar Bilogora county and consists of nine villages. According to the last census, the city had 13,243 inhabitants, of which 58 per cent wereCroats, 18 percent were Czechs, 14 percent Serbs and others. Daruvar day is celebrated on May 5 and it is also the date of birth of Count Antun Jankovic. On the occasion of the Day of a city are organized various celebrations and events. Daruvar is a city with a long urban history, will soon turn two thousand years of its existence, and its urban core has changed in accordance with the processes of different historical periods.
