Čazma is a city located in Bjelovar Bilogora County, 60 kilometers southeast of Zagreb and 30 kilometers from Bjelovar away. Within the town there are 36 settlements and according to the 2001 census, the town had 8,895 inhabitants. It is believed that Čazma was founded in 1226th when Bishop Stjepan II Babonić established a parish although Čazma was mentioned as a possession of the Bishop of Zagreb in Felicijano document on the establishment of the Zagreb diocese in 1094th. 1101. Hungarian King Koloman concluded a contract with the Croatian nobles at the Drava River. According to the agreement Croats freely elected their king Koloman, Croatia remains a free country, and it is only through the King associated with Hungary. King Koloman performs the kingdom in Croatia and built two roads that were named after him Koloman roads. The first such road leads across the Drava river, over Križevci Vrbovac and Zagreb towards the sea and Rijeka, and the other from Koprivnica, over Jagnjetovac..., Rovišće, Čazma, Sisak and Topusko to Knin and Split. This second Koloman or Čazma road is more important, because it links better north and south Croatia. The economy is based on small businesses and the agriculture because Čazma is located in a rural area. It should be noted the most important company, transport company "Čazmatrans". On the foundations of a turbulent and glorious past Čazma have built significant cultural and tourist center Moslavine. Known for its unspoiled nature it is a paradise for skiers, hunters and anglers, hikers, mountain climbers - lovers of natural beauty. It is rich in cultural heritage and the people who care for the old tradition of which are most notably: Zapovijed pod lipom u Mikloušu, Ugljenarenje na Moslavačkoj Gori, Moslavačko mašinanje u Staroj Ploščici, Ivanje u Ivanskoj, Supermaraton Zagreb-Čazma. Church of Sv. Marija Magdalena from the beginning of the 13th century, originally Romanesque building, was rebuilt in the Gothic period, and the was interior redecorated in the 18th century. A Baroque pulpit was placed in 1753 and church organ made in Vienna in 1769, the first in Croatia with bassoons registers, one of the most valuable of Croatia with the case in the rococo style.
