Komiza is located on the island of Vis, in Split and Dalmatia County . It includes urban settlements and islands like Biševo Oključna , Palagruza , Borovik , Podhumlje and others. Most inhabitants are Croats 97% according to the 2001 census. It has 1677 inhabitants , and during the Austro Hungarian Empire this place had over 5000 inhabitants .
