Seget Donji

Seget Donji is located near the town of Trogir , and it is only 2 kilometers from the UNESCO town away . Nowadays the inhabitants are engaged in fishing , agriculture and tourism . In Seget Donji is located the municipality Seget , which according to census in 2001. had 2,466 inhabitants , most of whom are Croats which moved in this area in the 7th century . Establishment of Seget happened on 13 January 1564th when duke Augustin Bembo issued task to scribe Jakov Rotunda to build a tower and next to it a small village . In this place soon began to settle many farmers from different villages , and the reason for this was primarily a defense against the enemy . As one of the more valuable monuments of Dalmatian town planning is considered Segetski Castle. The place Seget was named until the 17th century Kaštel Rotundo .
