Pisak is a small fishing and tourist village , which is located 16 kilometers south of Omis and 18 kilometers northwest of Makarska . The place has its roots dating back to 1500. . Pisak although small, offers a number of restaurants , bars and thus provides a Dalmatian atmosphere and allows every tourist to rest and enjoy nature away from the noise and crowds . Pisak is located in a bay and is a place rich with sandy, gravelly and rocky beaches . Here you can rent a boat , dive , surf and sail . At evenings you can visit restaurants and taverns where fish is served in a traditional Dalmatian way , which will surely delight you and even Dalmatian wines will not leave you indifferent. Throughout its ancient history this little place was known village of fishermen and farmers . Most were emphasized two surnames , Kuzmanić and Fistanić who lived near to each other , in two villages. They also have created this modern resort . There is a part of the old houses which are located above the... sea and still carry the name Kuzmanić . Pisak is known for producing of red wine and olive oil and it should be noted that this is a fishing village and an important fishing port on the Riviera . Today, very little is left of the local fishing fleet , but fishing is still a favorite among residents . In Pisak is situated small market with fresh fish , fruit and vegetables , shop and a supermarket . The restaurants boast a rich gastronomic delights and local specialties . For those tourists who want to have fun, nearby towns of Makarska and Omis will offer to them the perfect time in nightclubs and bars , which Pisak is unfortunately not able to offer .
