Mimice is small mediterranean town with a mild climate which is located in the very center of the Adriatic. Distance from the town of Omis is only 11 kilometers and from Makarska 23 kilometers. Monuments that are located in the old part of the village alongside the church, prove that the town is over three centuries old. This quiet little village has no expensive hotels , but it is full of single-family houses and richly furnished apartments , of which the greater part is situated below the road that divides the place into the old and new parts . It should be mentioned that the sea in Mimice is crystal clear, perfect for swimming and enjoying the long sandy beaches and refreshments in the nearby restaurants . In addition to the four main beaches, there are also several smaller which can be reached only by foot and some even only by boat. It is especially important to mention that the beaches are very clean and tidy. In the village there is a shopping center , several bars , restaurants... , post office , tourist office and other facilities so you will not have to leave the place if you need something. It is equally important to note that every year the villagers organize poetry readings, karaoke party, Puntin ball that is both traditional and local entertainment, fishing party and celebration of the patron of the town Sv. Rok. Between two beaches there is a restaurant that offers daily meals from local production, a wide selection of pizzas as well as the order delivery. Tourists looking for nightlife can go to only 20 minutes car ride nearby towns of Omis and Makarska. From Mimica to the town of Omis leads a bike path that extends further along the canyon of the river Cetina which flows into the sea in Omis. There is also Ommiška Dinara mountain, located above the village Mimica, and there are several caves there: Spužarica, Mateškova Špilja, Poklonica, Velika Radomajka, Gubava Splija and other caves.
