Krvavica is a village which administratively belongs to the Municipality of Baska Voda. It is situated in the western part of the Makarska Riviera. Krvavica is situated on the Adriatic Highway , an important road in the Dalmatian area . The place was first mentioned in the 1792nd year. According to the census in 2001. in this small village lived 287 inhabitants . Known archaeological sites are Lazina, Zakuća, i Gradina. A historic findings such as coins and sarcophagi show about the life of the ancient times , although Krvavica has not been settled before the 18th century . 1960th year starts to develop tourism . It should be noted that the inhabitants of the village Krvavica for years were engaged in animal husbandry and agriculture . After the cessation of wars locals began to live closer to the sea for fishing , agriculture and trade . Symbol of a village is Ključ kuk, and it's a high rock , which has a very unusual shape above the eye appealing areas . The main activity of the inhabitants here today is tourism. In 1960th year a tourist complex was built which today, unfortunately, is not working. There is a marina with 150 berths and a crane for boats up to 8 tons. Since this is a town located at the foot of the mountain Biokovo, near the coast, this convenience makes it even more attractive and interesting. Crystal clear sea and fresh air attract the most foreign tourists who want to escape from the hectic of city life and noise. White sandy beaches and security of the port give them a sense of pleasure, knowing that this place is just what is needed for a perfect holiday.
