Gradac

Gradac municipality consists of five settlements: Drvenik, Gradac, Podaca, Brist i Zaostrog. It is located at the end of the Makarska Riviera, with 3615 inhabitants . It is known that this municipality is often presented as the southernmost in Split and Dalmatia County. Developed are agriculture, fisheries and oleiculture. Catering and tourism are highly developed in recent years . Rich ethnographic offer can be seen in the museum and it is the result of long work . Objects are dating from the 19th and 20th centuries, and the ethnographic collection is divided into five sections. It consists of Dalmatian kitchen , carpentry workshops , a collection of Dalmatian and traditional instruments and fishing gear . There are also known artifacts from the late antique times, and Middle Ages has brought many changes such as the first settlement , which was unfortunately short-lived , because of the persecution of Christians.
