Baska Voda is situated in Split - Dalmatia district 48 km south of Split. In the central part of the coast of the Adriatic Sea this place was an assembly of the fishermen, seamen and various retailers. In today's time, Baska Voda is a famous tourist attraction, and today is tourism industry the most important. It consists of five villages: Bast, Baska Voda , Bratuš Krvavica and Promajna . The founder of the orchestra is Bozo Škarica Kaplan, who also is active as a trumpet player in the orchestra. Four trumpets, five saxophones, four trombones, piano, guitar, bass and drums are the big band. Many long gravel beaches approx. 5 km long with an area of 8 km ² , blue sea, many sports activities such as diving, sailing make Baska Voda ideal to relax. There are also opportunities for hiking, climbing, walking and cycling in terms of proximity of the hillside. Clean air, green landscape and preserved eco-system make Baska Voda suitable for a holiday away from the noise of the city. The city has a large parking lot for cars and buses. In the night, this place breathes. Many of the parties are organised on the beaches and the discos are full of tourists which have fun until the wee hours. Numerous restaurants offer a wide repertoire of the Dalmatian cuisine and famous Dalmatian wines.
